Bristol trio Jesuits blur borders utilising a blend of gothic-rock, trap music, shoegaze & experimental electronics, attempting to reach a trancelike state from rhythm & groove based aesthetics. Ethereal drones & loops create a blank canvas for repeating noise, choral melody & pulsing patterns.

To-date, the band have accumulated support slots with acts as prominent as The Black Lips, Ariel Pink, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Wand, alongside joining Telegram on their UK tour. Jesuits also garnered press & radio attention, including Time Out Magazine and John Kennedy on Radio X.

Recorded and engineered by Malthouse Studios’ Dom Michison (Spectres, The Naturals, Edward Penfold, LICE), debut release Cloudhead draws life from the band’s former incarnation as a four-piece – channelling an admiration of alternative and abstract heroes, 60s psychedelia & no-wave music. The result is an apocalyptic journey through a vast range of guitar-riddled dynamics & experimental ambience.

The Cloudhead EP is released via Gravy Train Recordings on March 01, 2017. Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud | Bandcamp | Instagram
