When you're the only British artist in a Country music line-up featuring Fort Worth's finest at this year's Texas Music Takeover Festival, in London, it takes more than just a powerful voice and a No.3 hit in the UK Country iTunes Charts to blow the boots off a sold-out crowd. It takes a sheer volume of authenticity. Something rising star Jeannine Barry carries in spades.

Jeannine's roots may lie in the UK, but the way she effortlessly tunes into the humble, raw and emotional candour of true Country onstage has allowed her to build a loyal fan base worldwide. Following a range of prestigious support slots, appearances and an invitation to headline the launch party for the UK's biggest country music festival C2C (Country 2 Country) 2017 she packed her bags for Nashville, recording and touring with Blake Shelton's guitarist, Kevin Post.

Jeannine's sincerity, honest lyrics and exceptional talent, continue to propel her. Often compared to Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes and Emmylou Harris, Jeannine feels appreciative to be included in such company. Humble, her music is a force. Her unique blend of empowering fun-filled tinged stompers and bittersweet country ballads, will have you running to the dance floor to kick the dust off your heels.

Released on June 28th, ‘Love Just Hurts’ will be supported by a host of live shows including Buryfields Festival, Green Meadows Festival and The British Country Music Festival with Ward Thomas, as well as a headline show in London. It will be the first of a string of singles to be released from a forthcoming debut album that is eagerly awaited by fans and industry.

Following the success of the last 2 singles, Jeannine and her band have played a raft of live shows across the country, including Black Deer Festival and Europe’s largest Country festival, Country2Country, at the O2 in London. Jeannine also recorded a special 'Under The Apple Tree' session for BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris.

Jeannine said that she felt ready to take her music to the next level with a new sound with this latest release: “I wanted to make music without rushing it, and to create something that I could really feel proud of because of the way it was true to me and what I wanted to say. When Robert Leech, who wrote several songs on the Wandering Hearts album, contacted me to write after seeing us play at Country2Country we worked so well together that several of the songs we wrote ended up on the new release which will make up the first part of my debut album.”

“Love Just Hurts is the first single to come out of that and it has been a magical experience overall, especially when Jim Kimball, who works with country legend Reba McEntire, got involved and offered to mix the track. I can’t wait to share the song with everyone.”

“Her voice and talent are not only moving and honest but “Authentically Country”. It has been a while, since my days teaching Beyoncé Knowles actually, that I have been so excited about teaching a young performer.” - David Lee Brewer, Star Vocal Coach.
