Jayne Murdoch is a singer-songwriter from Dumfries in Scotland. Her first steps in writing led her to Glasgow's iconic Ca Va studios to record a co-written album with Robert Maitland. After several years playing gigs around Dumfries and Galloway, Jayne studied Music Performance at Perth College, University of The Highlands & Islands. Under the guidance of some of Scotland's top session musicians, she spent three years immersed in music and the performing arts. As college came to an end Jayne and five of her fellow students formed the award-winning country band Hullabaloo. Voted Scottish Country Band of the Year, the band spent several years touring the UK and had a loyal and dedicated following. Most recently, Jayne was one half of Munro, a joint venture with Richard Smith. The duo wrote and released the EP Coming Home, made their debut appearance at Americana festival Vamos in Perth and supported Canadian country artist Sarah Beth Keeley at The Hug & Pint in Glasgow.
