Ian Lynn Palmer is a Singer Song/Writer from Newport South Wales. Americana Country Folk with a hint of blues, yet always remaining a punk at heart. Cutting his teeth on the Punk/Grunge scene in the early 90s ,Ian played guitar in various bands which is where he first found a passion for song writing. After a spell away from the music scene, Ian eventually found his feet on the acoustic circuit choosing to go solo and expand his writing skills. A self taught musician playing guitar, harmonica ,banjo and ukulele; writing songs about his life experiences and observations; all led to Ian becoming noticed and he was nominated for Best Original Song and Best Male artist at the Love Live Music Awards 2017 . Taking his influences from Bruce Springsteen ,Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Matt Johnson and even Nick Cave, in August 2017 he released his first Ep The Last Goodbye, which has been played on numerous radio stations to much acclaim. Ian has also appeared live in session on various shows including Newport City Radio and Radio Cardiff . In the short time Ian has been performing he has played with the likes of Jess Vincent ,Kenneth J Nash, Ags Connolly, Jon Langford ,The Rosellys, Wesley Randolph Eader, The Tendons ,Gluepot ,Blind River Scare,Tom Crow and MG Boulter. Ian is currently working on his second Ep, which will be released some time in 2019, and is looking forward to the future to expand in the field of gigging/festivals on a more national level.
