Lou Beckerman

We’re excited to welcome Lou Beckerman to this year’s Mini Concerts. Lou is an established jazz vocalist and songwriter with two albums to her name, as well as a writer, illustrator and fine artist whose work has been shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Her career has also embraced community choir leadership and groundbreaking work in music as medicine, recognised with a Churchill Fellowship.

Her recently published illustrated poetry collection (July 2023) showcases her gift for weaving words and music together, exploring themes that range from the playful to the deeply reflective. Lou is known for bringing warmth, vibrancy and connection to every performance.

The concert takes place at Hurst Works, a new coworking and meeting space in the heart of Hurstpierpoint, where a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the evening.
