Ian Roland
We’re welcoming back Ian Roland for the third time at HURSTfolk., a firm festival favourite. Ian is a Brighton-based songwriter whose timeless “Roots Pop” style carries a modern yet vintage warmth, with songs that are full of heart and humanity.
Ian plays live as a solo act and also as a duo, with bassist, Dave Coomber, and as a full band with Sonny Crowe, on keys and lead guitar, and James Chapman, on drums. His recordings also feature contributions from violinist Simon Yapp and pianist Mishkin Fitzgerald, adding depth and colour to his sound. For the concert at Hurst Works, Ian will be joined by Dave and Sonny.
The concert takes place at Hurst Works, a new coworking and meeting space in the heart of Hurstpierpoint, where a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available throughout the evening.
