Bryony Hill, Sussex-based artist and author — and wife of the late sports broadcaster Jimmy Hill — will be sharing the story behind her latest book, Robins in My Kitchen, set for release on 28 November. This enchanting book recounts Bryony’s real-life experience with a robin that chose her kitchen to build its nest, sparking an extraordinary journey of connection and wonder with the natural world. With heartwarming observations, Robins in My Kitchen brings readers into the delicate, surprising bond she formed with this tiny creature.

At this special event, Bryony will explore the moments that inspired the book, giving insights into her life with nature and creativity. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of Robins in My Kitchen, along with original illustrations from the book, with proceeds benefiting a local charity.

The event will be hosted by local favorite Daryn Buckley, the longtime Mid Sussex Radio DJ known for his warm and engaging interview style. With Daryn guiding the conversation, this promises to be a truly memorable experience for all who attend.

Made In The Shade
The event will open with a performance by Made In The Shade, a dynamic vocal group from Sussex known for their stunning harmonies and diverse repertoire, including pop, gospel, folk, and more. Made In The Shade, consisting of Claire, Jehanne, Kath, and Lindsay, sings a cappella, providing a rich, immersive musical experience without any backing tracks or accompaniment.
