H U M A N X are North East based duo, writer/producer/guitarist Paul G Clark and singer/songwriter/piano virtuoso Lindsey Brooks .

Since teaming up they've worked tirelessly within the independent local music scene showcasing their brand of Emotive Rock-Pop Electronica & Dark Romance.

A retro sounding yet modern production of Fleetwood Mac, Blondie and New Wave. Unashamedly Pop, with a dark punkadelic twist. Presented live with sequential drum and synths computers, infused with lush, spacious bluesy valve guitars, effects and ethereal piano. Wowing audiences and headlining sell out shows at Cluny, O2 academy, Cluny 2, Little Buildings, Jumpin' Jacks, NE6 Suite, Mining Institute, Think Tank? The Tavern, Oxjam Festivals and Supporting touring acts Avec Sans, Ambiere , Opera Comic and Twist Helix. It's definitely a formula that has paid dividends.

Seamlessly moving between energetic rocktronica to emotional ballads, they draw their influences from Blondie, Panic at the Disco, The Cure, XTC , MGMT, Ladyhawke, T-Rex, Grimes, New Wave, Eurythmics, Roxy Music, Tears for Fears, Talk Talk, E.L.O, Icehouse, INXS, Beatles, 80s alternative & Indie Pop.

Also Selected by the Oxjam Music Festival team to take part in the release of the very first live Oxjam album at Blast Recording Studios, with 12 local artists coming in to record a track each to spotlight our rich local music scene and raise money for the charity.

and have also been invited to play this years Bearded Theory Festival alongside acts such as Robert Plant, Jake Bugg, Therapy? Jesus & Mary Chain & Reverend and the Makers and a sensational national TV airplay debut of their single 'Death & Romance' on ITVs This Morning Show.

Singer, Lindsey Brooks, has a powerful voice and phenomenal range that she utilises when and where required. The subtle layering of vocal harmonies shows Lindsey’s abilities throughout the song, complimenting guitarist (and tech-whizz), Paul G Clark’s, various melodies.
