“Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed last night’s concert, and to thank you and Brian for organising it. Howdenjones were great and so gifted; so much respect for anyone who writes their own songs and performs them! Very talented musicians. Regards Val.”

“Whitney Village Hall came alive on the evening of 8th April to the hauntingly beautiful music of Kate Howden and Paul Jones, accompanied by Iona Lane. We were treated to a packed programme of original songs and ballads interspersed with entertaining tales of the trio’s travels and experiences. Some songs featured glorious harmonies which gave you ‘goose-bumps’ (to coin a popular expression from X Factor!), others the musicians’ breath-taking dexterity as they brought their instruments to life producing beautiful melodies, some with echoes of classical guitar and flamenco.
Throughout the show the band shared with us many stories and anecdotes, creating a warp and weft for their music. The heart-warming account of the swan that came in from the cold one winter’s night to sleep in their dog’s basket will stay with me forever.
A delicious home-made supper and a well-stocked bar rounded off the evening perfectly.
The whole experience was very memorable and generated a palpable ‘feel-good’ factor for those who were fortunate to be able to attend. How lucky we are that we could enjoy all this literally on our doorstep. A very big thank you to all the organisers for making this possible.”

“After being invited to see Kate and Paul perform at a village hall show run by a family relative in Somerset, I was keen to put them on in our village hall in Wiltshire. Everything went very smoothly with lots of information being provided plus tickets and posters in good time for the show and recommendations for how to make it go well. Even if you've no experience of promoting something like this I'd have no hesitation recommending them for a great night at your own village hall.” — Andy McKenzie

“Kate Howden and Paul Jones came to Chettle Village Hall for the fourth year… a welcome return for two very talented and entertaining musicians. Their varied songwriting, Paul’s extraordinary guitar playing, amongst other instruments, Kate’s delicate voice, and their lovely harmonies, make them a duo you can keep coming back to. They perform a beautiful balance of varied music. And they are very nice people! If you haven’t seen them! you should”
