Hinemoa is an Icelandic indie/folk/pop band that was formed in mid 2014 and has since then been very active playing and recording music. Hinemoa plays dreamy melodies with good, steady rhythm. Hinemoa are influenced by, amongst others, Angus & Julia Stone, The Staves, Fleetwood Mac, Paper Kites and Bon Iver. Recently, the band released it's third single, Bye bye birdie, which reached at it's peak, top 20 at the Icelandic national radio's chart, Rás 2, and stayed at the charts for 6 weeks. Amongst other, Hinemoa has played at Melodica Acoustic Festival, Culture Night in Reykjavík, Off venue at Iceland Airwaves and recently the band opened for Árstíðir 's release concert for their most recent album, Hvel. Hinemoa is currently working on their debut album which is due early 2016.
