A little bit about us …
Mondegreen are an indie-folk trio based in Chester. Described as "folk-tinged indie pop" with big harmonies inspired by a mix of artists such as Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, Idlewild and Sheryl Crow. Started out as to two best friends gigging for years as Laura&Claire but in 2016 they were joined by Leanne (Laura's sister who had been performing independently too) to form Mondegreen.
Mondegreen’s debut EP 'Small Towns', recorded with Rod Jones (Idlewild) was released in March 2017. The band's second EP 'Change', also recorded with Jones, was released in May 2018 and is available to stream on all major platforms and on CD from Bandcamp.
Both EPs have featured on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 6 Music and have seen the band play alongside Jonah Matranga, Hillfolk Noir, Wildwood Kin at Folk on the Dock and most recently, Jolie Holland & Samantha Parton at the Liverpool Philharmonic.
