When in Bali

G'day! How's it going? How quickly time flies when you're having fun.

So currently writing to you all from Bali after spending a week here and it's been incredible. On the music side of things I've taken a bit of a break as I've been exploring and seeing new things, BUT I have been booking more shows and have more to announce soon!

To be honest Bali wasn't high on my list of places to visit, but I'm so glad I came to this island. After experiencing life in Australia it was good for me to spice things up. In the space of a week I've been to many temples, had a monkey sit on my shoulder and eat nuts (I also had one chase me), been to a coffee plantation, nerded out over Dave Matthews Guitar, went on a swing over a rice field, had my birthday and many many incredible moments.

There have also been times when I've thought what's wrong with our world? The other night for example I was walking and I saw a handful of mothers with their children just sleeping out on the street, whilst tourists just walked past turning a blind eye. Also talking to workers who wages is 660,00 IDR a month (which is about £36.12 or as he put it "That bag of coffee you're holding in your hand is the value of my wage for the month"), it's just something to think about really. I don't know where to go with that, it's just something I felt needed sharing as it's something in my mind at present.

On a much lighter note tomorrow we fly off to Bangkok, which I'm looking forward to. Weirdly but amazingly enough I developed a fan base over there a few years ago when my EP "Sanfarian" came out, (this EP turned 6 years old this year, I might do a blog about it).

So for now dear reader, I hope you're well and this year is going great! I'll be announcing more shows, more music and all that jazz in the coming days and months.

2019 is looking crazy, so I'll hope you'll come along for the ride.

HR x
