ULRIKA SPACEK
Ulrika Spacek return with their fourth album, EXPO — an antidote to the loneliness of hyper-individualism and an exploration of collective creativity.
Built around off-kilter melodies, jagged guitars and cirrus-cloud atmospherics, the album reflects the band’s close-knit creative process and their connection to a wider community of artists.
Musically, EXPO pushes Ulrika Spacek’s art-rock foundations into new territory, balancing analogue warmth with electronic experimentation, self-sampling and glitchy textures. The result is a warped reflection of modern life — human warmth meeting digital isolation, welcoming yet alienating.
EXPO embodies the thrill of the unknown and the particular magic that comes from making art together.
BROADSHEETS
Inspired by the narcotised crawl of trip-hop and the nocturnal moods of slowcore, Broadsheets weave together layers of electronics loops and corroded guitars into haunting soundscapes equal parts visceral and atmospheric.
BLUDUD
The south-west 4-piece crafts music shaped by whatever instruments they pick up in their shed studio, blending folk-rock and alt-rock with linear drumming, half-spoken vocals and varied instrumentation. Following nearly a decade of collaboration and improvisation, they have prepared their debut record while building a dedicated grassroots following through UK performances and support slots for acts like Blue Bendy and Fine.
