GLASS MOUNTAIN make beautiful, cinematic and passionate music filled with yearning and sorrow. Taking their name from a David Hockney artwork, the quartet’s sound is drenched in visual allusion, matching the size and scope of Sigur Ros or The Cure to something much more delicate and personal.
Reminiscent of the spirit of hip-hop where anything can -and should be - included, Glass Mountain draw influences from alt-rock, dream pop, post rock and electronica to the Theramin tinged orchestral swells and surges of The Beach Boys. These songs are deeply personal with moments of heartfelt honesty; tear soaked laments to coping with life in a turbulent and often confusing world.
