Gaêlica is a five member Folk/Pop band that mixes Celtic with Latin music, with Arabic and Irish hints, passing through Flamenco, Tango and Afro-Venezuelan beats, flavours that demonstrate the multicultural influences that pervade Venezuela today. Gaêlica started their journey 15 years ago when they created the soundtrack for a theatre play that required Celtic Music. The CD recorded for the play got so popular that they created the band. They are one of the few bands in the country that keep generating revenue from CD sales, obtaining a Golden Disc for each one of their albums released.

In 2013 they were nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards as "Best Folk Album" for the album "Luz: Una Navidad Celta en Venezuela".

Gaêlica has been recently nominated to the Pepsi Music Awards 2016 for World Music "Artist of the Year".

Gaêlica has been awarded two Pepsi Music Awards in February 2017 for "Best World Music Artist of the Year" and for "Best World Music Song of the Year" for [Buen Día ]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39dw6PAjexk
