Recently removed from Perth, Flower Drums have found ground in Melbourne this year for their re-emergence after taking some time to travel and reinvigorate their sound.
The dream-pop outfit has made a name for themselves having played support slots with the likes of #1 Dads, Jungle Giants, Panama and Client Liason. After winning a spot to play St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in 2014, Flower Drums picked up a nomination that year for ‘BEST POP ACT’ at the WAM awards. Their 2015 debut EP 28 Mansions saw the band flourish on radio airwaves with their track ‘Don’t Wait’ featuring St. South and released a cinematically pleasing music video for their lead single ‘End II End’.
They’ve toured the USA and Australia, with their live show enveloping the audiences into an amalgamation of emotions and actuality. Flower Drums will take you for a walk in New York City at night, underground to hidden bars in Tokyo, midnight drives around the foggy hills of Los Angeles, and everywhere in between.
