Nicolas Burrows (formerly ‘Glaciers’) released his debut album under the new pseudonymn FELL in 2016, swapping a lo-fi approach for the studio treatment, working with producer Andy Ramsay (Stereolab), Jorgen Skjulstad (Center of the Universe) and Thomas Meidell (Metronomicon). Subtle and expansive arrangements full of understated guitars, shimmering organs and dark synths weave around Nicolas’ distinctive vocals, reverberating with echoes of Timber Timbre, Villagers and Little Wings.

An artist, illustrator and multi-instrumentalist, Nicolas hails from Blackpool but is currently based in East London. Developing an intimate and fragile live show and relentlessly writing and recording over the last ten years, ‘There Still Are Mysteries’ is his third album proper (the first as FELL) and earned plaudits from Lauren Laverne, Guy Garvey and Cerys Matthews among others.

2017 saw more live shows from FELL with a full band, performing at Camp Bestival, Wilderness and Head For The Hills as well as opening for a sold-out David Thomas Broughton show in London.

A new FELL record is in progress, due for release in late 2018.
