“A boy with a beard singing songs to reflect what a beautiful thing would sound like with a hangover, bleary eyes and rough around the edges”

Evanjack is the musical conception of Welsh born/London based songwriter Scott Cousins who ignited a passion for music after discovering his father’s dusty vinyl collection in the attic of his childhood home. Listening to the likes of Bob Dylan and Graham Nash eventually led to him picking up a guitar & teaching himself how to play the old fashioned way.

Evanjack has been gathering a loyal following with the people who stumble across his unique brand of alternative folk & his emotive live performances that range from moments of quiet, captivating beauty & drift into endings of epic crescendo. Evanjack has gained influence & comparison to artists such as Radiohead, Bon Iver & Dry the River.

After the successful independent release of his first 2 EP’s Evanjack worked on his new album with Québécois producer James Forest. Recorded on equipment that had been begged, borrowed or stolen over an intense period where they hid themselves away in isolation beneath London’s austere winter & recorded at any time creativity took hold. The result is an album that is ambient, rich in ethereal ache and touched with an edge of fearful optimism.

“Indiana, Rust & Bone” was released on 2nd May 2016 and followed with a tour across the UK & Canada. Evanjack is currently performing intimate shows across the UK and writing in preparation for new releases this year.
