This is a trip back to the roots… When metal music was Satan himself and punk music had a true meaning of rebellion… Hailing from Quebec City (Canada), Doom's Day is a unique combination of Occult Doom, classic heavy metal and horror punk.
The first album “The Unholy” was originally intended to be a solo project of Dominic St-Laurent and was only to be released as a 50 copies hand numbered DIY CDR. Doom soon got in touch with Rémi of PRC MUSIC who liked and believed in the band who properly pressed and officially released the album in 2013. Doom soon realized a solid line up for shows was needed. Doom's Day the became a real live band with the addition of Pat Gauvin (Bass), Francois Breton (Guitar) and Dominique Verreault (Drums). The album was well received with great reviews and numerous interviews in underground publications worldwide, for getting out of the usual patterns and over beaten paths.
2014, album number two , “The Devil’s Eyes”, who is a much more focused and better-produced recording, a giant leap forward as a band. The band is still blasting out Its own brand of wicked occult heavy metal but overall, Doom’s Day in 2014 was a much more aggressive band, showcasing a much stronger musicianship, bigger arrangements and pushed their own limits to a new level.
Summer 2015, Doom’s Day honored the memory of the late Peter Steel and recorded and shot a video for the Type O Negative song “Black No.1“. The Rest of 2015 and beginning of 2016 was spent doing demos and rehearsals for the third album.
The new album “The Whore” was recorded during summer of 2016 and was released in January 2017.
This third release will always be a special one for the band. With the passing of guitarist Francois Breton in September 2016, the band lost a member of it's family, a friend, a brother in arms…
