Diskopunk is a Stockholm-based band, that actually plays disco/punk and are the missing link between the live & dance scene. Imagine if LCD Soundsystem and Blondie had a kid, well, there you go.
The band was formed early 2016 and their debut single ”Antonio America” came out on the 25th of January. In Antonio America we follow the lead singer’s transformation as he takes on his pseudo persona - Antonio. Control shifts to dirt, safety transforms to freedom and impulses become habits.
They premiered the single in Sweden with Being blogged and the did the International premiere with The Line of Best Fits. After that, the single got great reviews all over the globe and was especially picked up by Spotify UK.
Antonio America was put in Spotify UK playlists like: New Music Friday UK, The Office Stereo, New Music Commute, The Indie List to name a few. Now it doesn’t seems like people can’t get enough of it, +100k plays in less then a three weeks.
