Dganit Daddo was born and grew up in Acre Israel – a mixed city filled with different cultures, traditions, and music and religion that includes , Christians, Muslims, and Jews.
Since childhood, Daddo was exposed to diverse and rich traditions, sound and music. After she graduated at Beit Zvi for her Theater Studies, she was cast immediately to “Habima” – the national theater of Israel. She played the main role in the hit musical “Spanish Orchard” (Bustan Sephardi) as Galit Giat,s substitute.
The play was written by the fifth president of Israel Itzhak Navon. It tells the story of the Sephardic neighborhood of Jerusalem, Ohel Moshe, during the 1930s through songs and tales. After the successful exposure of Dganit to the beautiful Ladino language and music, she then started a new singing career.
She was sought-after for her lively, exciting, and touching Ladino and Special concerts which have been specially made for the Jewish communities and organizations. Apart from that, Dganit also played at Yiddishpiel, a Yiddish theater in Tel Aviv, Israel. Dganit plays in different former Soviet Union concerts in Birobidjan, Samarkand, Siberia, Kiev, Moscow and more. She also performed across the world.
Some of these countries include Switzerland, Germany, France, Ireland, England, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Macedonia, Myanmar, India,and all around the US. Dganit collaborates with different organizations around the globe like Music Festivals Israel Bonds, The Jewish Federations of North America, Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hadassah, Lion of Judah, Keren Hayesod, JNF, many missions to Israel and more.
As a singer and performer, Dganit has met and performed for many different people with an excellent variety of tastes, and have been privileged to sing at more than hundreds of shows and concerts. It is an experience that allows her to make each performance unique, modified specifically to her audience and the event, as well as to make sure that that is something for everybody.
Dganit plays Constally music program for adults and children with special needs and disabilities.
