Denzeity started life without a name in July 2017 as a vehicle to promote the songs of Simon Densley which he had been writing and recording for several years. A succession of line up changes made improvements to the overall tightness and sound of the band.

A few months later professional guitarist Mike Gibbons stumbled upon Simon's music, loving the songs and making contact with Simon who persuaded him to join the band. Mike suggested some changes to existing arrangements which improved the songs still further and also linked up the band with some major music industry players leading to interest from distributors, producers and record labels and a management deal.
