“Ones To Watch” - GetIntoThis “Creates a tapestry of rich, live instrumentation and electronic elements” - Celebmix “Soulful and empowering offering that’ll leave you wanting more” - Gigslutz
Deliah, is the collective name for a group of four musicians and producers from Liverpool and London with a unique and distinctive fusion of sounds. Fronted by Michelle Harris, the four-piece have been combining their own musical influences within soul, electronica, funk and indie to create powerful soundscapes and create a stunning, musical narrative.
Over the years, the band have been featured by Fortitude Magazine, Get Into This and Gigslutz, as well as plays on The Only Way is Essex. As a result, their live game has took off with support slots for GoGo Penguin and Maverick Sabre. This summer also saw the band travelling the country performing at music industry mega-showcases The Great Escape, Dot to Dot, BBC Introducing Live and LIMF.
Their last two singles, “Achromatic” and “Infinite” were the first installments of an innovative concept trilogy - The Mind’s Eye. The band wanted to explore beyond how the public perceives the life of an artist, shining a light on some uncomfortable truths. Each track has a corresponding visual that conceptualises the lyrical message through the work of a different creative pursuit. “Silence” marks the third track in the trilogy and acts as a powerful finish to this chapter. The track is a brooding balance of angsty energy and spellbinding atmosphere, encapsulating the songs message around the stuggle that many creatives have when getting their work recognised, perfectly.
“Silence is our relief, a release of pent up emotions when holding on to creativity and integrity whilst making your passion your career. It’s not just artists and creatives, it’s anyone who feels the pull of doing something against your own beliefs in the hope that it’ll take you to the next level. The video also focusses on the idea of comparing yourself to others, something that can be toxic but is rife today, especially through social media. Like with the rest of the trilogy, we offer no answers, it’s a commentary that we hope might find someone that needs to know they’re not alone and that other people feel the same” – DELIAH
“Deliah are, in short, phenomenal. Just raw gritty beats and melodies with powerful, lush vocals drizzled on top” - Bido Lito
