2017: A Review So Far Jul 2, 2017

It's been a while since we updated, but things have been very busy here at the Danni G headquarters throughout the early part of 2017. As we are in July and half way through the year, now would be a good opportunity for a mini review of how the year is progressing.

March started with a warm up gig with the new band at The Park Tavern in Kingswinford. This was billed as a live rehearsal and things went really well. April saw a one off short acoustic show with Danni joined by guitarist Paul in aid of Oxjam held at Katie Fitzgeralds in Stourbridge.

A week later saw the full live debut of the full band in a headline show at Katie's. This was warmly received and by the end of the show even saw a mosh pit at the front. Clearly a winner and feedback from this show is still being received of a positive nature.

After this show, the preparation was then on for festival season. Things kicked off with Wolves Fest on June 17th, and again, the response from the crowd and further feedback has been nothing but positive.

Spontaneously, Danni then did an acoustic performance at the annual Mini & VW Owners Meeting at the Dudley & Kingswinford Rugby Club, and finally, yesterday performed with the band at The Boat That Rocks Festival in Evesham.

Although the start to the year has been low key on the live front, the reception to the new band is encouraging and welcoming. Behind the scenes, Danni has been hard at work finalising her debut album which is due later in 2017. There will also be a single and a video soon to be released before the album drops.

There is plenty more to come from Danni this year and we will keep you updated as soon as we have final details. In the meantime, thank you for being patient dreamers!
