DaDa was born in February 2016 and by July the same year they released their first single Black Horse from the Pigeon Conspiracy Ep which included the B-Side ”Modern Twat”. The Ep was released via Black Wire Music (a newborn London based independent label).

”A dark and seductive antiwar tirade that rages somewhere between the visceral punch of Pixies and the fuzzy rush of At The Drive In” – Clash Magazine”

”An anti-war hymn that sounds like it could be a Beck song featuring At The Drive In or Sonic Youth” – Buffablog Magazine

”Believe it or not, this is actually a B-side to the lead single ‘Black Horse’ off their new album ‘The Pigeon Conspiracy’, which will be landing on July 8th. The fact that they can put their all into the dessert as well as their main meal shows that DaDa are some musical chefs of the highest order (or hors d’oeuvre, if you will).Judging from initial impressions, DaDa could go a long way if they keep up with this sort of output. It’s the shot in the arm the British rock scene needs.” – Cultured Vultures Magazine

Black Horse was featured on several radio stations across the globe Uk, USA and Australia above all. National Uk airplay Including BBC Introducing – Tom Robinson’s Mix Tape, Northern Transmissions (Track of the Day), British Breakfast, Good Music Matters (Band of The Week), Total Rock Radio, Croydon Radio, SalfordCRadio, Birp Fm. DaDa also performed live on air for Harriet Rose – Fubar Radio and Hackney Radio.

The Pigeon Conspiracy Ep was release 08.07.16:

”The punchy distortion of Schiavone’s guitars on Modern Twat truly is a breath of fresh air. It sounds like something created in god’s country of the North West in the decade of decades” – Happy Magazine

”I haven’t got caught up in music like this in a while. The flamboyant, story-telling type that creates fictional narratives of love, pain and despair all within your own mind. A malleable soundtrack that will suit the needs of your every-day moving picture if you will. It’s grooving, it’s meaningful and more importantly there’s some killer hooks. The music in question comes from London based DaDa who are set to release their EP ‘The Pigeon Conspiracy’ this Friday. A refreshing bunch, these guys are creating laid-back, punchy fusions of rock ‘n’ roll that will surely lure you into a comfortable state of reception in which to fully be open to the core messages of their music. Lyrical topics that cover a range of issues ranging from the plasticity of modern-Western society (Modern Twat) to our place in the unfathomable grandeur of the cosmos (Home), this is music that has pack behind its punch. Black Horse mean-whilst is a reflection of their record collection no-doubt, basking in the glorious sounds of QOTSA, The Strokes and Nirvana but by no means sounding clichéd nor exhausted, this is very much music that will stand-out in 2016 when an explosion of out-and-out quality rock ‘n’ roll is in dire need to kick some life back into a society that has gotten so overwhelmed by recent events. DaDa, through their musical ethos are displaying a simple banner: always think, always have purpose but insist that you always have fun.” – GiveItBack Magazine

“Power Station from London-based Dada, is a psychedelic amalgam of grunge and glam sensibilities with a sound as massive and electric as its title would suggest. Power Station opens with stuttering arpeggios dripping with effects that give way to cutting, beefy chords covered in a steely, audio sheen.”- Impose Magazine

The Pigeon Conspiracy Ep was pressed on a limited number of vinyls that were distributed to several independent stores across the UK, including Rough Trade East (London) where the vinyls provided sold out in 2 weeks. DaDa has also performed for Rough Trade in their Nottingham store supported by the Pictish Trail (The vinyls can still be pre-ordered here bandcamp.com\dadamusiclove).

DaDa launched their Ep at TheFinsbury in London collaborating with LostInTheManor that would later give them the opportunity to gig extensively and perform alongside Australian but Brighton based band Animal House during their ”Sorry” release tour.
