CLUE CARE KIT
Hey you lot,
Hope you’re all managing to get on ok with everything going on.
I’ve tried to pull together a few bits to keep you entertained, occupied, learning + fit. There’s a million things out there (a million and one now) but here’s a few things I’m doing to cope in current circumstances.
ADVICE, FUNDING + SUPPORT
There are lots of places offering advice, potential financial backing + support in both the short + long term. For me, there’s one place to head to...
MUSIC:LEEDS - Regional in name only. I work for M:L + they’re doing amazing things in Yorkshire. Here they’ve pulled together & are regularly updating resource & guidance info.
Invaluable no matter where you are: http://musicleeds.com/covid19resources
Other places worth looking for support are PRS, Musicians Union, AIM & Help Musicians UK but there’s so much out there.
SOMETHING TO LISTEN TO
PLAYLISTS
CLUE-NEY TUNES
We’ve got a playlist of 30 tracks which is updated every month. Some old, some new. A big melting pot of genres. I defy you not to find one track in there you love.

OUR RELEASES
What better time to get familiar or remember some of the unreal music we’ve released (I’m allowed to say that, I didn’t write any of it (although I do sing on 1 track in here…)). Here’s a playlist of everything we’ve released, I promise that if you like one of our releases, there’ll be a ton more you find in here. That’s a money back guarantee.

#AnAlbumADay
I've started posting an album a day on our Twitter + Instagram stories so get following on those to see what I'm picking. Looking back maybe could have created a better hashtag, one that doesn't start with Anal Bum...
RADIO
AMAZING RADIO

BBC SOUNDS
You’ve got your pick of BBC radio shows on here, some of my faves;
Serious Jockin’ = 45 minutes of big tunes + stupid humour (BBC Radio 2, every Friday at 4.15pm)
Desert Island Discs = Superb array of brilliant people taking 8 discs to a desert island. Some of my favourites include David Byrne, Dawn French, Victoria Wood, Tom Hanks, Wendell Pierce, Tracey Emin, Martin Freeman, Charlie Brooker, Liz Lochhead, Berry Gordy, Bill Gates, Kylie Minogue.
Iggy Pop = Eclectic mix of music with the godfather of everything.
BBC Introducing In… = Keep up to date with emerging artists in your area
The First Time With… = Great convo’s with interesting people
Calming Sounds = Don't ask me how I found this but every night (I think) CBeebies do a different show throughout the night of calming sounds. Lovely.
Some great documentaries on here including;
Malcolm X and the ‘American Nightmare’
Spellbound: Siouxsie and the Banshees
Kraftwerk: We Are The Robots
Ones I haven’t listened to yet but have on the list;
The Twilight World of Syd Barrett
Freak Out! The Frank Zappa Story
When The Levee Breaks
PODCASTS
Here’s a few things I have listened to that I love
DIS/SECT = Amazing walk through albums, pulling them apart artistically to look at themes, motifs, stories + more. Albums by Kendrick Lemar, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Ms Lauryn Hill + more done.
THE BLINDBOY PODCAST = Start with the Limmy one & dive in anywhere from there. Just funny innit?
ATHLETICO MINCE = Hilario ramblings from Bob Mortimer + Andy Dawson. Sometimes football related, usually not. Mainly just daft.
LISTEN UP - THE OASIS PODCAST = Just started this & seems well interesting, seeing how they started out & grew into Definitely Maybe and the band becoming regarded as they are today
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? = Some great investigations to mysterious circumstances around public figures.
THE ADAM BUXTON PODCAST = Brilliantly funny ramblings + interviews.
CLUE RECORDS PRESENTS = Us, on Spotify, talking. GET STUCK IN
TO DO
- READ = I've stuck every single Clue Club zine on Issuu so you can now read the 12 zines that accompanied our singles club releases in 2017. Crosswords, art, thought pieces, jokes + more. READ CLUE CLUB ZINES
- DRAW = Rebecca Vincent is an incredibly talented artist + tattooist who has been doing draw sessions on a weekly basis on her Instagram, every Sunday at 5pm. @rebeccavincenttattoo on Instagram

SUPPORTING INDIE ARTISTS + LABELS
For obvious reasons it’s a really difficult time for independent artists + labels. If you are a fan of an artist or label & can afford to, why not buy something from them to show support? Or just share your favourite release of theirs on socials/with friends? For us, any support we get is hugely appreciated + helps support us + the artists we’re working with.
We’ve got a few PAYF vinyl & T’s as well as a load of other beautiful vinyl releases, T’s, totes, CDs & tapes!
Hope this is helpful or gives you something to keep you sane + entertained.
Would love to hear your tips, things you're doing & anything I've missed off here.
Remember though, you don't have to do anything, make sure you're giving yourself a break, there's no right way to deal with all this!
Stay safe + wash yer hands
Loads of love
Scott
