Soundcloud Listings About

Born and bred in Vancouver's underground House & Techno music scene and now based in London UK, Kasey's first experiences a decade ago in the rave and Techno underbelly would trigger her passion for the weird and wonderful world of electronic music. It's a tale of dark and deep driven beats that hypnotized her mind and moved the feet. The addiction to this feeling sparked the Electronic music parties at alternative club Lick in 2006, and with the (literally) underground club Lotus just below, there was a regular dose of Techno & House education by some of the world's best selectors. Over the years club parties turned into warehouse parties, and this is where her underground sound evolved into Cellardoor, a bass-infused House affair. After several free releases online, in 2015 Wet Trax Records signed her debut release, a remix for Melleefresh & Boy Pussy under her alias Kasey Riot, a UK-inspired Bassline House track making it's rounds on the grimey dancefloors. As a result of her underground partymaking reputation and new releases she found herself racking up the airmiles and moving floors across Canada's biggest clubs. Her passion to share the intoxicating feeling of a good beat is most clearly expressed in the DJ booth as she blends together carefully curated sets of bass-infused House and Tech. Having the privilege of playing at clubs like Celebrities Nightclub in Vancouver, The Y Afterhours in Edmonton, Twisted Element in Calgary, The Mod Club in Toronto, Katacombes in Montreal and festivals Felurian Grove, Burn In The Forest, Photosynthesis & many dusty sets at Burning Man, her quest to spread the sound is unrelenting. 2017 is set to be another year of growth and evolution for Cellardoor with the upcoming release of her debut EP, sets at London's legendary Egg and Ministry Of Sound & new residency at Klub Verboten.
