Ceasetone is an Icelandic electro rock/indietronica band formed in 2012 by Hafsteinn Þráinsson. The band was originally Hafstein’s acoustic solo project but expanded into a full fledged band in 2014. Band members are Hafsteinn Þráinsson (vocals/guitar), Sólrún Mjöll Kjartansdóttir (drums) and Jökull Brynjarsson (synth). They are known for their passionate live performance and their hugely diverse sound with strong contrasts of electronics, acoustics and soundscapes bound together with powerful indie rock.

In 2015 the band won All Tomorrow‘s Parties festival’s “Unsigned Talent Competition”, hosted by the artist community, Bedroom Community. Additionally the band was invited to perform at ATP Iceland.

In 2016 the band has performed as the Icelandic embassy's representative of music in Canada & the USA alongside Axel Flóvent as a part of their Icelandic culture events, "A Taste Of Iceland" performing in Boston, Chicago and Toronto alongside performin at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

In may 2016 Their debut album "Two Strangers" was released, gathering critical praise locally and abroad. Their show at Iceland Airwaves 2016 with an extended orchestra was critically acclaimed as one of the festivals best and was mentioned in UK's "The Guardian" coverage of the festival.
