Straddling everything from pop to avant-garde, Billy Bottle & Martine present a live show with vibrancy and quirk. Their approach to genre-bending combines jazz improvisation to folk funk on guitar, violin and keyboard. Whether it be colour, humour or musical gymnastics, they are sometimes partial to nothing short of a prog-jazz storm. Billy & Martine met in The Big Smoke, but Billy was interrupted by a call from the West Country to tour with Giffords Circus to wake up the sleepy villages of Gloucestershire. He ran away to collaborate with Dave Sinclair from cult band, Caravan and finish his own solo album, A Message From... During this time Martine and Billy re-met and followed a call deeper West to Devon. Here they stumbled on a farm, became Entwined and, with The Multiple, released the Thoreau-inspired album, Unrecorded Beam. Now they journey further afield to present The Power. Indeed, their recent tour culminated in a milk float trip of London to deliver a pint to Parliament.
