Imagine The Beach Boys with Scottish accents, added indie fuzz and synthesizers. This is Be Like Pablo.
The powerpop act make hook-laden music with four-part harmonies, noisy guitars and a dose of retro imagery. Having released their debut album ‘The New Adventures’ in 2014, Be Like Pablo returned last summer with the single ‘There She Is’ which received praise from Drowned In Sound, the NME and Scotland on Sunday. Forthcoming release 'My Kind of Girl' was recently BBC Radio Scotland 'Single of the Week'. The band has received airplay from Dermot O’Leary and Steve Lamacq.
“Follow the noise of latter-day powerpop and you'll find Be Like Pablo at the end of it.” - Steve Lamacq

"The band mine an inexhaustible seam of poptastic harmonies, underpinned by new wave guitars and a melodious keyboard sound which provides the icing on the cake." - The Scotsman
