Press:

Gigslutz: "Combining jangly charm with a delightfully dark fuzz... Spot on, devilishly good."

Soundblab Alternative Music: "This is a group of people who genuinely belong on stage. They look like a real gang and I can almost imagine them all living under the same roof, a distinctly rock ‘n’ roll cross between Slade and The Walton’s. Dressed in glitzy, glam-rock chic while their singer does his best to channel the likes of Jarvis Cocker. The lyrics take in everything from outer space to big bottoms and Brudenell Road. And, did he just tell us to go and “sacrifice” our pets?! It’s early days but tonight’s performance is exciting, gloriously messy and full of the bands anthemic, fun and pleasingly weird take on classic rock."

Denim + Leather Mag "...without a doubt my favourite new band around, creating a fun new sound whilst giving off nothing but good vibes... ‘Bad News’ is going to be the soundtrack for the summer. They ooze confidence on stage that engages the audience and invites you to dance with them. They’re as fun to watch live as they are to listen to.”

Grave Reviews: “...70s meets 90s fuzz, and a whole lot of positive attitude. It’s refreshing to see band members who aren’t a singer/back-up singing along to their own songs. They just like their own music that much. I’d say their sound reminds me a lot of Hinds (the happiest band in the world), which is perfect relief during this insufferable heat wave we’ve been having.”

Planet Slop: "Don’t let the name fool you, this collective kicked off proceedings with an interesting catalogue of bass heavy songs, with jangly guitar riffs cutting through the distortion. You could be forgiven for being reminded of Mac Demarco at some points; they’re the soundtrack to those dreams you never want to wake from. There’s only one male member of the band. He’s up front with a quirky style and attractive vocals reminiscent of The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas. Moving about the stage with confidence, and charisma, he was certainly no stranger to performing and the message was certainly received."

Spotlight: "...exceptionally solid rhythm section, mad scientist-esque frontman, impeccable image and a gritty, edgy, almost trip-inducing setlist... I feel like Bad Bug are really onto something really quite clever."
