With country music being the fastest-growing genre in the UK it comes as little surprise that someone of Robyn Red’s talent is breaking into the mainstream market and quickly becoming one of the most talked about Brit country acts. Robyn Red has been racking up critical acclaim having won gold at the World Championship of Performing Arts, Country Gigs Scotland songwriter of the year in 2022 and 2023 along with Young Female Artist of the Year. She also won Clews Country Music award for new artist and has reached the final of UK Country Music awards for UK female Country singer of the year and UK Country artist of the year.(award ceremony Oct 2023). Robyn has steadily built on that industry success, and in 2022 and 2023 played the DF concerts stage at C2C in the Hydro Glasgow, this allowed her to play at many more UK festivals and gave her the platform to showcase her intricate pop-country sound to adoring new fans. The skilled singer/songwriter has also performed at the iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, and Liverpool’s Cavern Club , The Half Moon in London, along with intimate rooms from Aberdeen to London. Amidst all that touring, Robyn Red also released her dynamic debut single ‘Like A Bullet’ in June 2022, a track that shot her to the top of the Amazon Country Chart, with it also peaking at #3 on the iTunes Country Chart, an impressive feat for a new artist just breaking through. She released her crowd pleasing single "When The Sun Sets" May 2023 and that did even better with it peaking at #1 on the iTunes chart and Amazon Country charts. It was BBC Radio Scotland’s single of the week W/C 22/5/23. She will be releasing her next single in October 2023. In 2023, Robyn Red has put on a debut headline show in at the Glasgow Garage Attic with her band which SOLD OUT in a matter of weeks. Due to popular demand, Robyn and her band will be blessing Glasgow again in October where she will be headlining to Audio and with the way her ticket sales are going, she is heading for another SOLD OUT show! These sold-out shows almost immediately further cement her growing status as “the next big thing”.
2023, Robyn has had a busy festival season the likes of C2C, Country on the Clyde, Buckle & Boots,Country music festival , Crawfest, Foodies Festivals, the British Country Music Fest and Bute fest to mention but a few. She is also set to support Ward Thomas at Cottingham Folk festival and Tyler Booth in the Poetry Club Glasgow. As her star continues to rise, we are seeing a rapid increase in her growing fan base.
