ATTICA RAGE are a heavy rock band from Glasgow, Scotland who have earned a solid reputation for their energetic, powerful performances at headline shows, tours and festivals across UK and Europe.

Having supported and shared festival bills with the likes of Judas Priest, Slash, Black Label Society, Down, Anthrax and Saxon amongst others, the Attica Rage live experience has been proven to fill outdoor arenas as much as it does the clubs and venues. UK festival appearances include High Voltage, Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest, Bulldog Bash and Cambridge Rock Festival; while European highlights have included Metalcamp (now Metaldays, Slovenia); HRH Road Trip (Ibiza) and Wizzfest (Belgium). Attica Rage continue to take their brand of hard n’ heavy biker rock n’ metal sounds out on the road with headline tours across the UK.

In summer 2012 as part of the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards bash, Attica Rage performed to hundreds of fans, industry and media onboard the ‘HMS Hammer’ pre-show boat party along with Shadows Fall, Fozzy, While She Sleeps and Evil Scarecrow as it sailed along the River Thames in London towards the main awards event at the 02 Arena.

Formed in Glasgow in 2003 by brothers Richie Rage (drums) and Jonny Parr (vocals/guitar), Stevie Bell (guitar) joined in 2007 with Matthew Ward (bass) joining in 2014. Following an early EP in 2005, the band released their debut album Ruin Nation in 2008 on their own label, featuring a cover sleeve by iconic Motorhead artist Joe Petagno. In 2011, Attica Rage signed to Manchester label, Rocksector Records for the UK release of second album Road Dog. Album track Through the Inner Eye was featured by Classic Rock magazine as ‘Track of the Day’ with a free download offered on their website and album opener 36 Insane was included on a Metal Hammer magazine cover-mount CD. Attica Rage subsequently signed to Off Yer Rocka Recordings and Road Dog was released worldwide in May 2012, with two additional bonus live tracks. Two video singles, directed by Colin Wood Media, for the tracks Ashamed and 36 Insane were also released during 2012, with the latter winning ‘Video of the Year’ at the Scottish New Music Awards. Before songwriting began for the next album, Attica Rage contributed an emotionally-charged and revamped cover version of Killer of Giants on a US-released Ozzy Osbourne tribute album in June 2012.

December 2012 saw the worldwide release of third album 88MPH on Off Yer Rocka, along with an independently-released 2-disc DVD, Road Dog Forever - the long-awaited live concert and documentary film, directed by Colin Wood and chronicling the two year period the band spent writing, recording and touring the Road Dog album. Attica Rage promoted 88MPH throughout 2013.

A main stage appearance at Hammerfest VI in Wales kick-started 2014. Shortly after, Colin Wilson left the band to concentrate on his family. Ex-Komatoze bassist Matthew Ward joined in June 2014 in time for summer festivals and a full UK and European headline tour in autumn.

Attica Rage are currently recording a new studio album and working on a definitive live album release, both due out in 2015 along with festivals and touring across UK and Europe. Festivals confirmed include HRH RoadTrip in Ibiza, Spain with Skindred and Summerrock 2015 in Erpe-Mere, Belgium.
