International duo/band Astra the 22's is a crossover smash & has gotten music fans buzzing all over the world. In 2014 they have released 2 singles, including the for their latest single "Save Me." Already making appearances on Latvian TV and radio, the band’s second single Save Me is currently charting on SWH radio's top 20 countdown.
Separated by thousands of miles, singer/songwriter's: Kerija Kaleja (Riga, Latvia) and Eric Jayk (NYC) have shown the world that with hard work and creative thinking anything is possible. Already having released 2 singles in 2014 (‘Catwoman,’ & ‘Save Me’) & releasing a highly acclaimed music video, the duo wrote and demo'ed the tracks that have become 'Blue Venom' throughout the past year via email using iPhone voice notes and protools. In July, the duo finished recording the EP in NYC.
Upon their debut EP’s release, Astra the 22’s performed live in Riga, Latvia to a packed club. They then headed to the Vilnius Music Week in Lithuania where they performed two sets. Making appearances on Latvian radio/TV to promote their release, they finished shooting their second music video for the EP’s title track & latest single ‘Blue Venom.’ With regular radio airplay on 6 major radio stations in Latvia, (Rietumu Radio, 5 Latvieši, 5 FM, Radio SWH, Rīga Radio, Radio H20), They have begun work on US/Europe tour plans for 2015.
