ARGH KiD is a Manchester-based artist, waxing lyrical on an intoxicating mix of street smart, relevant rhyme, delivered with sharp wit and a colloquial twang. His poetry combines monkey business, melancholy, grit and wisdom in a genre he coined as “Pub-Toilet Sink Realism”. His captivating delivery, humorous anecdotes and show-stealing flow make for a live performance which enthrals and engages every audience.
The Year Behind: ARGH KiD sold out Fringe gigs, performed on National Telly and Wireless, his National Poetry Day piece was picked up by the Manchester Evening News and received over a quarter of a million views in the first few days. He also headlined the opening night for Manchester’s SONDER Festival whilst successfully gigging across the NW and beyond.
The Year Ahead: ARGH KiD has signed a record contract with an EP due in Spring; a documentary is being filmed in March, a book due out in Summer, several festival appearances confirmed; playing live on ITV…AND much to his delight he’s been asked to Support His heroes the Happy Mondays!
