Run Over Dogs are a four-piece rock band from Budapest, formed in 2012.The band's musical output is mainly based around the desert rock genre, with some psychedelic, post punk influences.
In 2014/2015 the band played 30 gigs over Western Europe (U.K /London, Liverpool, Manchester/, France /Paris/, Switzerland, Germany /Berlin/, and Czech Republic /Prague/.) and Run Over Dogs will be touring in the US from 8th March to 8th April 2016.
Since 2014 the band has played at the biggest Central European Festivals (such as Volt Festival (HU), Rock for People (CZ), Campus Festival (HU), Fishing on Orfű (HU). In 2016 the band has been handpicked by the Sziget Festival team (Best Major European Festival in 2015 according to the European Festival Awards) to perform at their music contest (Nagyszínpad) in May 2016 which means Run Over Dogs are going to perform at all the biggest Hungarian festivals organized by Sziget this year.
They became well known in the local underground scene when** they won two of the biggest underground music contests out of 700 bands. Shortly after Run Over Dogs debut album was released and their first single '2:54' was voted Quart's **song of the year for 2013, (one of the most read Hungarian music blogs). Two weeks later their first music video ’Our Love’ was voted the “Best music video in 2013” in Hungary.
Run Over Dogs has released two EPs (Scallywag 2013 / Cold Blooded Jukeboxing Gives Us No Nitemares 2014) and two LPs, Noxious Foodies (2013), and the new album ‘Cold Sweat of Lust’ released in September 2015.
