YUR MUM

Bad jokes & rock’n’roll. Yur Mum is a multi-cultural female fronted rock band from London, UK. Our music is raw, loud and honest. We call it 'road rage' rock.
We've made our stage debut in early 2016 in London. We love playing live and have made over 150 shows across the UK, Brazil, France, Austria, Hungary and Czechia. No show is too big or too small for Yur Mum. After self releasing a single and a live EP, we've signed to Flicknife Records and released our debut album entitled ROAD RAGE.

WHO KILLED NANCY JOHNSON?

A Reading-based high-energy Punk/Post-Punk band, and an incendiary live act, whose influences include The Ruts, Wire, Magazine, Black Flag, Fugazi, Killing Joke. Formed in Reading in 2015 from the embers of a Punk/Pop band called Nancy Johnson, the change of name mirrored the development of an edgier, more aggressive sound. Since 2016 the band has gigged at multiple venues up and down the country, this continued on through 2017. In late 2017 WKNJ made their first visit outside the UK with a couple of dates in Milan, and played a set for BBC Introducing LIVE. In 2018 they toured France, released their second EP, Flat Earth Theory, followed by an eponymous full-length CD-only album that collected all their recorded work so far, including remixes and material not released elsewhere. This was followed in September with the release of a single for Musicians Against Homelessness, They Reap.

PLAGUE UK

In 1976 there was a buzz around about a brand new scene, the Punk scene and the band THE PLAGUE wanted to be a part of what was happening at the time. The Plague produced their first single in 1978 and was sold on two diifferent independent labels, the single ‘In Love’ which was picked up by john peel and passed on to the Mike Read show on Radio One, In 1980 / 81 the band split and went their separate ways. In 2005 the X Tapes was remastered for digital format from old reel tape and home recordings, after Marc, Greg and Gareth met back up and went on to meet up with Dizzy from Detour Records. In 2015 Marc, Greg and Gareth decided to put down a new album, with some of the original tracks revamped and rerecorded with the addition of new songs, the album is called ‘What Do You Expect’. And this was to be the last album The Plague recorded, as the band again went their separate ways. In January 2018, Marc Jefferies teamed up with Lee Morrell (Ex Drummer of Chelsea), Simon Godfrey and Martin Taylor, to create a new look, a new vision, a new style of The Plague, The band was to have the attitude and the energy from before but with a new sound, new band with band members from different musical backgrounds to create the new PLAGUE UK. The new form of band has been well received and has had very good positive feedback and comments. With a very busy schedule of gigs the band has managed to get their first EP ‘Suck It Up’ released in September , accompanied by the music video to the song Red Button from the EP. 2019 see’s Plague UK continue to grow their presence, and have been confirmed to play The Great British Alternative weekend and other festivals, In addition to this Plague Uk will be finding time to be back in the studio to record their new album.
