The Bluetones return to mark 30 years of their classic debut album âExpecting to Flyâ. The band celebrate the albumâs success with a tour across the UK in October and November 2026 but have decided to come and get it all warmed up in the best venue in all the land.
You can expect to hear the iconic record in full as well as a number of the groups fan-favourites from their extensive back catalogue which contains no fewer than 3 Top 10 Albums and 13 Top 40 Singles.
The platinum selling debut âExpecting to Flyâ charted at Number 1 in the UK Charts, displacing Oasisâ âWhatâs The Story (Morning Glory)â for a week. âSlight Returnâ, the albumâs most successful single also reached Number 2 on the official charts.
A bit of a rarity these days in that all 4 original members are still very much together, Mark Morriss (vocals), Adam Devlin (guitar), Eds Chesters (drums) and Scott Morriss (bass) are sure to keep the home fires burning. This tour offers long-time followers a chance to relive the youthful energy and heartfelt songwriting that made âExpecting to Flyâ such a beloved album and a chance for such a legendary UK band to be celebrated by their dedicated fanbase.

Fronted by the enigmatic Mark Morriss, they had an impressive run of hit singles that included âBluetonicâ, âSlight Returnâ, âMarblehead Johnsonâ, âSolomon Bites The Wormâ, âIfâ and âKeep the Fires Burningâ. Their live shows brought the West London four-piece an army of devoted followers worldwide.
The bandâs members are Mark Morriss on vocals, Adam Devlin on guitar, Scott Morriss on bass guitar, and Eds Chesters on drums. The band scored thirteen Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums in the UK charts.
Glastonbury, Top Of The Pops, The Bluetones did the lot and toured with everyone from Radiohead to Bruce Hornsby & The Range. Finally, after playing more than 10,000 shows in more than 73 countries, theyâre back for more.
