Chloë Alper (ex guitarist for Charli XCX, ex Pure Reason Revolution) and Mat Collis are Tiny Giant.
Collis – a MOBO and Grammy nominated engineer who has worked with the likes of Jay Z, Charli XCX and The Black Eyed Peas – helped shape a sound the pair describe as 'Dream Pop meets Future Rock'.
Guided by diverse influences the result of their collaboration melds bombastic riffs with delicately shaped soundscapes. They site their influences as Cocteau Twins, Battles, Weezer, Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac, Biffy Clyro, Talk Talk and Genesis.
The first single to come from Tiny Giant’s as yet unreleased debut album – Joely – won them BBC Introducing backing and a Best Newcomer award nomination from Classic Rock Prog. Their second single – School of Hard Knocks – was coined by Music Week as “one of the most essential tracks of the moment”.
Tiny Giant are currently in the studio fine tuning their debut album.
