Hailing from Essex, England, The Verdicts are a group who write songs about living in a post millenial generation. Their first single YOU BELIEVE takes aim at British PM Boris Johnson, The Sun and Brexit. The track saw a resurgance almost 2 years after release, after a release on a compilation for the Record Store Day 2021 release You Flexi Thing Vol. 8: X-Ray Flex, which led to several plays on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6 show.

They followed up You Believe with the Britpop inspired poetry ridden rock of Liverpool Street a track about singer Archie's experience on falling asleep on the train home from Norwich to Colchester, and waking up in the titular London station with no way home.

Drawing from the British indie wit of acts like Pulp, Blur, The Libertines and RAT BOY, their debut EP "Quaker's Alley" was released in January 2021, after a year of delays amid the 2020 lockdown. Named after an alleyway that holds a youth centre the group used to perform at frequently when they were first hungry for gigs, the EP aims to take you on a journey through train stations, (Intro/Liverpool Street) teenage heartbreak (Just Another Heartbreak Away), Essex streets (CO3 MISERY) and close off with a celebration of everything they achieved over their first 2 years, with the massive string-section aided "Alleyway."
As lockdown reopens, the band emerge from their isolation with a solid stream of singles ready to be released, pushing ever further, aiming for the "top of the top."
