The Moon Kids Bio 2017

The Moon Kids make electrifying pop that sounds like fireworks and neon lights and fairground thrills.

The Moon Kids began performing live in 2013 and rapidly created a buzz with their energetic shows. Bright lights, chiming six-strings and powerful pop hooks helped them create a carnival atmosphere during their sets at some of the summer's major festivals - including T In The Park and Wickerman - their songs have been described as "a giddy rewrite of everything Buddy Holly warned you about".

Their first official release - The Moon Kids EP - won radio play and attention from the national press. A feature in LA's revered blog landed them a slot on BBC TV while Ravechild raved about their "bolshy presence". They've also done live acoustic sessions for AU Review, BBC radio as well as having each of their independent single releases added to the BBC Radio Scotland playlist.

Based in Dunfermline the band are regularly seen in the studio alongside Snow Patrol/Super Furry Animals/Mogwai producer Michael Brennan Jnr where they continue to develop their sound and focus on their debut album.

The bands self-released singles Strange Thoughts On Sunday & Ice Cream are regularly played by Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ Los Angeles while their edgy pop track Popcorn Bullshit is used as a jingle on Japanese radio. Helping them expand their fanbase internationally.
