THE LADZ are a fun loving band that blends many genres of music together to create a banging live show for the masses to rock out to. The LADZ live show has been described as ' a thoroughly good time' and 'tunes you can sink your teeth into' by local press, and it is something we as performers pride ourselves on. Our first semi EP 'Habit forming Rock and Roll' was described as "... is balls to the wall, all fuck and no foreplay! It's all climax with no climb down and I think that's exactly what you want from a live performance or a six-track E.P."
We take influences from a range of different genres and have been likened to; Queens of the stone age, Nirvana, Oasis, the strokes and early Arctic monkeys. Each band member brings their own musical influences;
Matt and Jon are two singer guitarists from Derby, Matt carries a Brit-pop/indie influence whilst Jon is pure Rock. Adam, from Colorado is a well established bassist, drawing inspiration from grunge and metal but with a classical background, whilst Mike from Cambridge enjoys influence from rock, blues, Brit-rock and electronica music.
We are very passionate about our music and are trying to bring some good old fashioned Rock 'n' Roll back enthusiasm back into modern day music. We have been playing the scene for 1 and a half years, at multiple venues with the highlight being the support for 'Degaruda' and 'republic of ugoslabier' of Panda records who were touring asia at the time and most recently 'The Dune Rats' of Rat bag records who are an established band in Australia.
We have a strong following of fans and this year we have completed a six track EP, due to be released mid October. We are making our mark on the English Music scene with air time on BBC INTRODUCING in the Midlands, various London and Uni radio stations and a host of internet radio stations.
