The Flavells are a four-piece alt-rock band from the Clifton Area of Nottingham, whose members are Billy Kennedy (Vocals/Lead Guitar), Ashley Wood (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Grant Bugg (Bass Guitar) and Cameron Pridgeon (Drums), having initially started as a two-piece acoustic outfit in mid 2016 The Flavells have grown in numbers, sound and following.

Their songs are written from the gut - hard-hitting and thought provoking with lyrics that comment on aspects of everyday life that we can all relate to, but there is also a youthful and energetic element to them which all together leaves them resonating with the listener long after the end of the gig.

Their sound has been compared to The Clash, Nirvana and Oasis to name a few and they have cited influences that range from the 60s onwards such as The Beatles, The Stone Roses, Kula Shaker, The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys and The Verve, all these influences have led to a diversity in their sound that is a breath of fresh air.

They have received great support from the East Midlands BBC introducing team, with every track submitted making airplay and were also invited to perform at the BBC introducing showcase at Rough trade Nottingham, over the years their increasing reputation has landed them support slots for acts such as Jake Bugg, The Fronteers, Ivory Wave and The Swines, while also having multiple successful single and E.P launches of their own in that time, with an ever-growing catalogue and increasing following they are looking forward to building on these success’s and hope to be sharing their music with a wider audience as they continue to grow.
