THE CUT OUTS are quite possibly 2014′s most exciting emerging UK band. Newcastle Upon Tyne, Melbourne and Stoke have unknowingly released their finest musical talents upon London in the form of Stevie (guitar/vocals), Jess (bass/vocals) and Samuel (drums).
Since the band formed, THE CUT OUTS have been billed with artists such as Peaches and Sick Of Sarah and supported the likes of Noisettes, Babyshambles and Plan B. TCO are currently in the studio rehearsing for some European dates and festivals this year.
THE CUT OUTS released their debut music video in 2012 through Firebelly Films which was quickly snapped up for the front page of Dailymotion with XFM and NME following closely with subsequent online features. TCO became Camden New Journal’s ‘Record Of The Week’ shortly after the underground self-release of their first EP ‘Honey Where Your Mouth Is’ describing them as ‘…guilty, dark, hot, exhilarating, they smother the sonisphere like thick molasses.’ BBC Radio Stoke have also picked up the record and regularly play it on their ‘Introducing’ shows.
“Watching THE CUT OUTS makes you feel like you’ve been caressed, punched, loved and blown apart all at the same time. They have a knack of making every venue seem like their own with a double dose of estrogen that does exactly what it says on the tin. See it to believe it…. they’re really bloody good.”
“Although amazingly unsigned, this won’t be for long with the amount of attention TCO have been receiving and with rumours of a second record, 2014 looks to be a very exciting year for the band.”
