Hailing from all four corners of Ealing Common, the quartet comprising of Nadia Sheikh, Dan Almond, Rowan Davies and George Gardiner boast a lifetime of performing experience between them and love nothing more than making people smile while playing their eclectic mix of cover songs. The Pop/Rock outfit play classic tunes from the ‘golden age of music’ including artists ELO, Stevie Wonder and Fleetwood Mac, as well as more contemporary tracks from artists such as Bruno Mars, Oasis and McFly, to name a few! We are a young, friendly and enthusiastic group of friends that are always keen to put you and your needs first. Nadia Sheikh
Don’t let her delicate voice trick you, Nadia Sheikh definitely knows how to rock out. On her way to make a mark on the British music scene, Nadia is one to watch! The London based artist combines indie, rock and pop with folky and jazzy vocals creating a characteristic and unique sound that she showcases in her performances. With an impressive cultural background, the half British, half Spanish artist has the power to captivate you with her haunting voice and deliver that party atmosphere that is sure to keep the dancefloor jumping all night long.
Dan Almond
A musician of many talents, Dan Almond boasts an exciting career working in music composition for TV and film with his soaring piano melodies already gracing the big and little screens. Dan’s talents are not just confined to composition, as he has also gained years of performance experience with his solo alias ‘Dan Almond Music’, which has received strong interest from BBC Introducing with radio plays across the UK. This versatility means whether you need a touching first dance track to warm the heart of the coldest of ice queens, or a boogie-woogie toe-tapper to really get the party started, Dan’s talent as a pianist will not disappoint.
George Gardiner
Did you know that the core energy for a successful band comes from the drummer? Well it does, and at ‘The Common’ we are no different. Powerful, consistent and engaging, George Gardiner graces the stage with a multitude of different artists in venues spread across Europe. Hailing from the East Midlands, George started his career the way he plans to continue it. Drumming; pure and simple. The attitude and respect for the instrument he plays has helped him to develop his talent to the point where he is now one of the most in demand drummers in the West London area. So prepare yourself for that heart pulsing kick drum as he lays down the beats to some of your favorite tracks!
Rowan Davies
With years of live experience under his belt, Rowan is well known as a brilliant bass player in the music community of West London. Previously performing in multiple groups, ranging from a Michael Jackson tribute band to an indie-pop trio more recently, Rowan has certainly made a name for himself as a versatile, up-and-coming bassist not to miss. His soulful tone and melodic groove liven up any cover, blending seamlessly with the other artists of The Common and contributing skillfully to their overall sound. Having played at popular venues across Europe, Rowan knows how to engage any audience and make the music his own.
