The Honey Ants are John Grímsey and Rebecca Hamer. The London (UK) duo formed back in the spring of 2013 and have since built a reputation on the London live circuit for their knock-out shows. Their unique sound, built around exquisite bittersweet harmonies, has developed from its folk roots into something much more complex and dark – elements of Southern gospel and country blend with London attitude.

To date they’ve seen support from Music Week, Record of the Day, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, CBC Radio 2 (Canada), WFUV (New York) and Amazing Radio amongst others.

The band travelled to their spiritual home Nashville in early 2016, where they collaborated with local songwriters. The fruit of these collaborations will be released later in the year. 2014 was a pivotal year for the band, from appearances at The Isle of Wight Festival to songwriting adventures in the Icelandic countryside, it was a year of discovery and breaking creative boundaries. The new year sees the fruit of this productive year with the release of brand new material, which has seen support from Music Week, Record of the Day, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, WFUV (New York) and Amazing Radio amongst others.
