Entry Requirements: Over 18s only
An evening of music and stories performed by the songwriters themselves:
Michael McMillan
Michael’s album Cross Country was nominated for U.K. Country Music Radio Album of the year.
One of his singles “Coming Home” from his new album Missing Person was at number 1 for six consecutive weeks on the British Irish ‘Hotdisc Top 10’.
Michael has just returned from the USA where he was playing again in New York, Nashville and at The Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival.
Elaine Lennon
Since her first live appearance in December 2018, collecting a prestigious Danny Kyle Award and adding performances at Glasgow Americana and Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe to her CV, Elaine has matured into a performer who is being tipped by many of her peers as someone who has rightly earned “not to be missed” status.
Winning comparisons to Carole King, Stevie Nicks, Linda Ronstadt, Belinda Carlisle, Carly Simon, Adele and Lori McKenna, this Glaswegian mum has demonstrated a real talent to write in a way that flows through genres and effortlessly across timelines, her music connecting with people in ways few other things in this world can.
Nashville Songwriters Association International 2019 ‘One To Watch’ Elaine won CREATIVE SCOTLAND support for her highly-anticipated debut album (to be released 24th January 2020 at Celtic Connections).
Paul Dickson
For many years Paul has been a familiar figure around the Glasgow music scene, playing acoustic guitar in many live bands, and recording sessions.
He is now working on his debut album which will showcase his singing and songwriting skills. With comparisons of Crowded House & James Taylor, expect flowing melodies and finger-style guitar playing, with lyrics influenced by his Scottish new-town roots.
