Liars have, as a matter of course, sounded radically different with each album, pursuing new concepts and occupying diverse mindsets. The band constantly blurs the lines between electronic and acoustic, between experimental impulse and addictive pop sensibility. Called "Smirking punk-funk, acerbic drone-dance, existentialist bar rock, and disquieting synth pop” (Pitchfork), Liars promise an energetic evening full of sampled elements, heavily processed sounds, “real” instruments, and abstract pop-y fun.
