Aklama Makumba and The Ghana Footsteps will continue Counterflows’ exploration of varied collaborations, and see four Ghanaian musicians join forces with some members of Glasgow’s D.I.Y underground scene for a one-off performance. The music will be loosely based around the traditional Volta rhythms such as BorBorBor and Agbadza, expanded into a semi-improvised large ensemble.
