4. On the banks of the Motlatse/Blyde River
A guided meditation accompanied by the sounds of an iconic African river
This meditation takes place on the banks of the Motlatse (“the river that is always full”, in Sepedi) or Blyde (glad, happy, in Afrikaans) River, in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Seated beneath a giant fig tree and an equally huge Jackalberry tree, we are in front of a pyramid mountain known as Modimolle. As well as using mindfulness techniques such as watching the breath, scanning the body and listening to sounds, we contemplate water and bring gratitude to fluidity in our lives.
